1. Local processing
Prompts and responses handled by downloaded local models are processed on your computer through Hydron's local inference engine. Hydron does not send those local model conversations to a Hydron-operated cloud service.
Effective July 18, 2026. This policy explains what Hydron stores locally and when a service you choose may use the network.
Prompts and responses handled by downloaded local models are processed on your computer through Hydron's local inference engine. Hydron does not send those local model conversations to a Hydron-operated cloud service.
Hydron does not require account creation, login, email registration, or a Hydron subscription.
Hydron does not collect product analytics, advertising identifiers, usage telemetry, prompts, source code, crash reports, or personal information. The Hydron website uses no tracking cookies or analytics scripts.
You control these files through Hydron and your operating system. Uninstalling the app may leave models and user data in place so they are not deleted unexpectedly.
Codex, Claude Code, Hermes, OpenClaw, OpenCode, Copilot CLI, and other external tools are not Hydron services. They may require their own account, API key, or subscription. When you launch one, prompts, workspace content, or metadata may be sent under that provider's privacy policy.
Optional web research sends the search query to the configured research source. It is disabled unless you enable it.
Hydron does not ask you to submit third-party credentials to a Hydron server. Authentication is handled by the installed third-party tool. Protect credentials using that provider's recommended storage and sign-in method.
Hydron is a general development tool and is not designed to collect children's data. Avoid sending sensitive information to external agents unless you understand and accept their provider's terms.
Material changes will be published with a new effective date. Until a public support channel is announced, privacy questions can be sent to the Hydron project owner through the same private channel that supplied this build.
